Frequently asked questions

Short answers about the platform, the models and what each number means.

What is FUT Análises?
It is a statistical analysis platform for South American football. For every match in the leagues we track, four models calculate the probability of a home win, a draw and an away win, plus goals, corners and cards. After the final whistle, the match page shows what was predicted next to the real score.
How are the predictions calculated?
Every match goes through four independent models: Dixon-Coles, Elo, Bradley-Terry and XGBoost. The final prediction is the average of the four, and every calculation uses only data available before kick-off.
Are these betting tips?
No. The content is statistical and informational, for adults 18 and over. Probability is not a guarantee of a result, and nothing on the site is betting advice.
Is FUT Análises free?
The account is free and gives you the preview of upcoming matches, results with statistics and the history of past analyses. The full analysis of each match is unlocked with coins, and the showcase always keeps one free analysis from Série A and one from Série B.
Which competitions are covered?
The focus is the Brazilian Série A and Série B. Other competitions we track, such as national cups and South American tournaments, are added as the data becomes available.
How accurate are the models?
Every finished match shows the result the model pointed to and whether it happened, including when it misses. A 60% prediction means that, across many similar matches, that result happens about 6 times out of 10; the other 4 are part of the model too.
When does the analysis of a match become available?
The public match page goes live up to two weeks in advance, with recent form, head-to-head, venue and where to watch. The probabilities are in the registered-user area, before kick-off.
Where does the data come from?
From a professional sports data provider: results, match statistics, line-ups, absences and standings for the leagues we track, updated throughout the day.
Where can I see what the model predicted for a match?
On each finished match page, in the "What the model predicted" section. It shows the most likely result pointed out before the match and whether it came true.
Which languages is the site available in?
Portuguese, English and Spanish. The content is the same in all three, and match times always follow the Brasília time zone.
